Juliusz Kossak

Juliusz Kossak was one of the best Polish painters. He lived in the 19th century. He specialized in battle scenes, military portraits and horses. He painted mainly with watercolors. He was the precursor of a Polish school of battle-scene painting. His Krakow house was the social meeting place where many famous painters, actors and aristocrats used to meet. His talent was absolute. He got many various awards and his best works are: „Yellow Water”, „Battle of Raszyn”, „Stud in Podolia”. I think that we will never forget about him.
