Jan Chełmiński
Jan Chełmiński was very talented and famous painter. He lived in the 19th century. Jan was Polish-American artist. His paintings shows mainly military scenes, from Napoleon's times, other shows hunting. He also painted genre paintings or book illustrations. Jan travelled a lot. Eventually he decided to stay in the USA. He was the founder member of the Society for the Protection of Polish Art. Now he is known all over the world.
