Józef Mehoffer
Józef Mehoffer was a famous Polish painter. Actually, he is one of the most famous artists of The Young Poland. His teacher was another well-known Polish artist - Jan Matejko. Mehoffer used to paint in a style called Art Nouveau. He was interested in graphics, portrait and decorative painting. He used to draw mainly portraits, usually of his wife. The most characteristic things for his art are ornaments and decorative lines. His famous paintings are: „Mysterious Garden”, „May Sun”, „Zinnia Flowers”.
